Kids in the Woods Summer Day Camp
Looking for something for your child to do over summer break? Want to get them outside and connecting with nature? Bring them to Reinstein Woods!
We offer group options for kids ages 4 – 12 years old. Extended care is available an hour before camp starts and an hour after it ends for an additional fee of $8/hour. If you are a member of Friends of Reinstein Woods, you will receive a 10% coupon code when registration opens. This coupon code is applicable to one week of summer camp per child. We also offer a limited number of scholarships for children who would otherwise be unable to attend camp.

2025 Basic Information
Camps are filled on a first come, first served basis. When you register, please be sure to read the parent handbook that gives details about your child’s participation and refund policies. In the event that the session(s) you requested are full, you can register to be on the waiting list.
Campers for 2025 must meet the age requirement by December 1, 2024.
Extended Care is available for all sessions.
Extended care is only available one hour before and one hour after the times listed below. Extended care costs $8/hour.
LITTLE SPROUTS (AGES 4-6)
Little Sprouts offers half-day adventures that feature sensory explorations into the lives of animals and plants. Imaginations will run wild with nature art and play. Sample Activities: Nature walk, pond scooping, nature crafts
NATURE EXPLORERS (AGES 7-9)
Campers will explore the trees and ponds of Reinstein Woods for plants, animals, and adventure! Sample Activities: wildlife hike, fairy/toad houses, pond scooping, fishing, shelter building.
WILDERNESS ADVENTURERS (AGES 10-12)
Adventure starts here! We’ll guide your camper to investigate their environment while teaching outdoor skills and experiences. Sample Activities: Animal ID and tracking, shelter building and survival skills, fishing.
COUNSELOR IN TRAINING PROGRAM
The counselor in training program is for individuals 16 years of age or older who want to share their passion for nature with children. Volunteer as a camp counselor in training and develop skills for working with children in nature.

SCHOLARSHIPS
Friends of Reinstein Woods offers a limited number of partial and full scholarships for children who would otherwise be unable to attend camp. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
