Kids in the Woods Summer Day Camp

Registration Opens March 3rd at 10am

Looking for something for your child to do over summer break? Want to get them outside and connecting with nature? Bring them to Reinstein Woods!

Extended care is available an hour before camp starts and an hour after it ends for an additional fee. If you are a member of Friends of Reinstein Woods, you will receive a 10% coupon code when registration opens. This coupon code is applicable to one week of summer camp per child. We also offer a limited number of scholarships for children who would otherwise be unable to attend camp.

Basic Information

Camps are filled on a first come, first served basis. When you register, please be sure to read the parent handbook that gives details about your child’s participation and refund policies. In the event that the session(s) you requested are full, you can register to be on the waiting list.

Extended Care is available for all sessions.
Extended care is only available one hour before and one hour after the times listed below.

LITTLE SPROUTS (K-1st)

July 13-17 — 9am-12pm FULL – Waitlist Available 
August 3-7 — 9am-12pm FULL – Waitlist Available 

Price: $180 per week

Little Sprouts offers half-day adventures that feature sensory explorations into the lives of animals and plants. Imaginations will run wild with nature art and play. Sample Activities: Nature walk, pond scooping, nature crafts.

NATURE EXPLORERS (2nd-5th)

June 29-July 3 — 9am-3pm
July 20-24 — 9am-3pm FULL – Waitlist Available 
August 10-14 — 9am-3pm FULL

Price: $340 per week 

Campers will explore the trees and ponds of Reinstein Woods for plants, animals, and adventure! Sample Activities: wildlife hike, fairy/toad houses, pond scooping, shelter building.

WILDERNESS ADVENTURERS (6th-8th)

July 6-10 – 9am-3pm
August 17-21 – 9am-3pm

Price: $340 per week

Adventure starts here! We’ll guide your camper to investigate their environment while teaching outdoor skills and experiences. Sample Activities: Animal ID and tracking, shelter building and survival skills, learn to fish.

Counselor in Training Program

The counselor in training program is for individuals 16 years of age or older who want to share their passion for nature with children.  Volunteer as a camp counselor in training and develop skills for working with children in nature.

Scholarships

Friends of Reinstein Woods offers a limited number of partial and full scholarships for children who would otherwise be unable to attend camp.

Our scholarship application window has closed. You are welcome to submit an application to be placed on our scholarship waitlist.
