Join us at the 17th annual Fall Festival and celebrate “the Great Outdoors” with a full day of nature fun, demonstrations, live animals, food, music and more! A donation to Friends of Reinstein Woods is gratefully requested at the door to cover festival expenses. No registration required.

10:00 a.m. and Noon: Duties of a Detector Dog
Environmental Conservation Office Hunt and his K-9 partner, Bear, demonstrate how dogs assist in solving environmental crimes.
11:00 a.m. The Job of a Forest Ranger
Smokey Bear will make a special appearance after DEC Forest Ranger Kennedy demonstrates fire prevention and forest fire-fighting techniques.
Noon and 2 p.m. : Musical Perfomances by Mama Earth

1:00 p.m. Invasive Species Walk & Talk: Forest Pests
Join WNY PRISM (Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management) and discover how invasive insects such as Emerald Ash Borer, Hemlock Woolly Adelgid, and the Asian Longhorned Beetle can impact forests like Reinstein Woods. Learn about simple steps you can take to help Stop the Invasion!
1:30 p.m. Hike with Erie County Park Ranger
Experience the beauty of Reinstein Woods with Erie County Park Ranger Jerome Krajna, who will share tips on how to have a safe and fun hiking experience anywhere!
3:00 p.m. Invasive Species Walk & Talk: Invasive Plants
Join WNY PRISM to discover a wide range of invasive plants, the impacts they have on the environment, and some simple steps you can take to help Stop the Invasion!
